"He’s experiencing empathy for the first time in his life” said Cat with a noticeable lack of empathy. All the characters were quirky and real, the story line funny, and every step of the way was completely engaging. I smiled all the way through with this Aussie story. The Kettle triplets jumping around to this song with abandoned pleasure made me smile. Teletubies and Bananarama’s song ‘Venus’ being a couple of them. I love when the books I read contain little tid bits of pop culture references that I can relate to and really bond with. This one in particular shows me we are of the same era. I don’t see that she has anything to improve on if I was to be honest! I just love her original stories, she's got a flair for it. Ha! But I’d do anything for some extra excitement.
